Max Kimber SC

Max Kimber is a leading barrister and mediator with a career spanning more than four decades, focused on the litigation and resolution of commercial and administrative law matters, workplace law and employment contract disputes. He was appointed as Senior Counsel in 1999.

In the last ten years Max has transitioned away from litigation to concentrate on and develop a broad-based practice in dispute resolution, involving the mediation of contractual and other commercial disputes, as well as the full array of workplace disputes and the more informal “facilitation” of internal and external business disagreements.

These include disputes between board members, businesses, law firm partners, senior corporate executives, and other independent professionals.

Max has recently undertaken a number of complex and highly sensitive investigations involving publicly listed companies, government entities, and major public hospitals in New South Wales.

Max sees himself as a “resolutionary” and provides early intervention strategies to maintain and improve business to business and internal workplace relationships. He also offers executive coaching and in house training to managers and staff to enhance management and leadership skills, to foster effective communication and improve workplace culture.
